Charities

The charities we support

Each month we support a different local charity that's based in Edinburgh and supports people in the community of Edinburgh and surrounding areas. We do this by donating most of our profits from that month directly to that charity.

October 2022 - Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity - £2397.48

They help seriously ill babies, children and young people by supporting their medical care, mental health and family’s well-being.

Their hospital team delivers daily arts activities, youth work and family support; their Grants Programme funds child-friendly spaces and play initiatives, life-changing equipment and bereavement support.

Visit their site for more information about their work.

November 2022 - Cyrenians - £1734.82

An Edinburgh based charity tackling the causes and consequences of homelessness.

There are many routes into homelessness and there is no 'one size fits all' approach to supporting people towards more positive and stable futures. All their work is values-led and relationships-based.

More information about their work can be found here.

December 2022 - Waverley Care - £1406.63

Scotland's HIV and Hepatitis C charity, working to make a positive difference in the lives of people affected by HIV or Hepatitis C.

First established in 1989 and based in Edinburgh, their many services have grown over the years to incorporate support groups, one-to-one mentoring, social outings, education sessions, and workshops to name just a few.

Through their work, they're also:

  • reducing new HIV and Hepatitis C infections
  • getting people diagnosed
  • smashing stigma
  • tackling health inequalities
  • promoting good sexual health

January 2023 - Pilmeny Development Project - £1420.94

A small charity which has been working in Leith since 1979 to support local residents. Some of their services include:

  • activities for young people which enable them to meet their social, educational and recreational needs and to develop capabilities
  • groups for older people to help them maintain and improve the quality of their lives and enable them to remain independent and active for as long as possible

February 2023 - Upmo

Upmo is a charity providing support and opportunity for adults with learning disabilities and autism across Edinburgh, East Lothian and Midlothian. For more than a decade, they’ve been combining tailored support services with an increasingly respected curriculum of creative workshops, educational activities and vocational programmes.

They are driven by the belief that every person in society should be given the opportunities they need to develop their potential and play an equal, inclusive and rewarding role in their communities.

Want your charity to be supported?

We're working on developing a system for deciding which charities to support in the future. In the meantime if you'd like your charity to be supported then please contact us to be considered.
